Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Equiliem Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an hour lunch. The contract length is 13 weeks, with possible extensions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties within the medical assistant scope of practice to ensure quality patient care.
  • Complete required documentation in the electronic health record or other modality.
  • Patient care activities including vitals, venipuncture, sputum and urine collections, immunizations, and tuberculin skin testing.
  • Verify dental, behavioral, and medical health information with outside healthcare organizations.
  • Conduct office duties, including copying, filing, scanning, scheduling, and document preparation.
  • Respond to and direct clinical calls effectively and professionally in-person, telephonically, and online.
  • Assist with patient education.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information in all communication and interactions.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Experience performing venipuncture and administering injections or vaccines.
  • Experience using electronic medical records.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Bilingual.
