We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator III to join our team at Encantado Technical Solutions. As a key member of our Enterprise IT Platforms and Solutions team, you will be responsible for designing and operating technologies and processes to ensure IT systems are reliable, consistent, and secure throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy and maintain production Linux operating systems in accordance with established IT policies and guidelines for security, networks, and filesystems.
- Coordinate and perform installations and upgrades to layered software packages.
- Continually monitor and tune multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Work with Enterprise IT Configuration Management automation tools and approaches.
- Education/Experience: BA/BS in IT-related field plus 2 years of IT experience.
- Must be a US Citizenship.
- Maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance.
- Experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
- Required Skills:
- Experience in Linux Web Cluster administration.
- Experience in Apache, Nginx, HAProxy.
- Experience in Ansible for automation of provisioning and configuration of Linux services.
- Working knowledge of authentication methodologies such as Kerberos, PAM, and LDAP.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, FTP, SSH, and other common Internet protocols.
- Familiarity or experience with virtualized systems (such as KVM, ESX) and containers.
- Knowledge of CLI, scripting (Bash, Python), and searching/parsing log files.
- Experience with solving practical problems and system analysis of the IT infrastructures.
- Experience in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment.
- Strong networking background.
- User and group management.
