Job Title: Payroll Specialist

At Precision Castparts Corp, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the payroll functions of our Operation, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll and review of payroll and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  • Working knowledge of pay practices related to overtime rules, deductions, and taxes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Work closely with manufacturing supervisors, Human Resources, and Division Payroll Supervisor to ensure accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Prepare periodic payroll-related analysis, statements, and projections.
  • Process business travel expense reports.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficient with payroll software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in group/team settings.
  • Ability to present information and data in an understandable and logical manner.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in group/team settings.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma. Associate's degree in Business or some college preferred.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of working experience in an Accounting department or office setting.
  • Working knowledge of electronic data processing systems and financial reporting systems.
