About the Role:

Avera St. Luke's Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our cardiopulmonary department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care services to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care services to patients in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient areas.
  • Work under medical supervision to deliver cardiopulmonary services, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functioning of respiratory equipment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a cardiopulmonary department.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
