Job Title: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at The Christ Hospital Cardiovascular Associates.

Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images of specified body parts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and have a strong knowledge of medical terminology and sterile techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images of specified body parts
  • Prepare patients for MRI scans by explaining the procedure, screening for indwelling materials, and taking patient history
  • Position patients, scan, and archive procedures according to established protocol
  • Utilize proper venipuncture techniques to prepare patients for contrast media administration
  • Administer contrast media for the proper completion of MRI scans
  • Properly identify, prepare, administer, and document various medications used during procedures
  • Reconcile patient medications to ensure no interactions with contrast media
  • Complete all work in a timely, efficient, and productive manner
  • Assist coworkers in other modalities as needed
  • Verify MD orders for accuracy and act accordingly
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology School
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Board certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography and advanced certification in MR within 2 years of employment
  • Active, valid Ohio license as a Radiographer
  • CPR certification preferred
