At Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), we're seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in wireless communications, embedded systems, and cybersecurity to help us stay ahead of emerging threats.

About the Role:

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who can design, analyze, and secure complex wireless communication systems. You'll work closely with our expert engineers to develop cutting-edge solutions that meet the needs of our national security customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure wireless communication protocols and systems
  • Analyze and test embedded systems for vulnerabilities
  • Develop and maintain software-defined radio (SDR) frameworks and concepts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate secure wireless communication solutions into larger systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in wireless communications, embedded systems, and cybersecurity
  • Proficient in low-level embedded system programming languages such as C and assembly
  • Knowledge of signal processing, antenna design, and link budgets
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance by start date and TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
