Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services to patients under the supervision of a physician.
  • Obtain patient history and perform assessments to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures to inform treatment decisions.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families/caregivers on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care to promote patient well-being.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Physician Assistant certification from the Maryland Board of Physicians is required.
  • Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) and Orthopedic Physician Assistant certification are preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
