The Educational Psychologist is responsible for overseeing the execution of psychological evaluations and actively participating in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings, as well as collaborative problem-solving sessions aimed at creating systems and services that enhance students' social, emotional, and academic achievements.

By working closely with educational staff, families, students, and the broader community, the Educational Psychologist fosters positive learning environments.

Required Credentials:
Missouri School Psychological Examiner Certificate or equivalent School Psychologist Certification is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and analyze results for students while engaging in IEP meetings and team discussions.
- Contribute to the development of programs that integrate social skills, coping mechanisms, and problem-solving strategies within the classroom.
- Attend individual education planning and placement committee meetings to assist in identifying students with special needs.
- Ensure the timely completion of case study evaluations.
- Participate in school or program activities as required.

Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.
- Valid state psychologist license and/or certification.
- PDE Certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Comprehensive understanding of learning processes and effective instructional strategies to address diverse student needs, along with the ability to evaluate their impact.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational, problem-solving, consultation, and collaboration abilities.

State-Specific Credentials:

Missouri Requirements:
- PDE Certification in Missouri.
- State licensure in Missouri.
- Psychological Examiner Certificate or School Psychologist Certificate.

Physical Demands:
- Visual and auditory acuity are essential for delivering assessment, intervention, and consultation services.
- Occasional lifting of materials and equipment weighing less than 25 pounds.
- Ability to maintain emotional stability under pressure.
- Must be capable of responding appropriately to emergency situations in an educational setting.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to operate in diverse environments, which may include exposure to allergens and various conditions.
  • Potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
