Job Summary

The Eye Care Advisor role at EssilorLuxottica is a key position in delivering exceptional value to our customers. As an Eye Care Advisor, you will be responsible for creating a seamless patient experience by integrating the Brand Story and ensuring flawless execution of the patient experience/behaviors and linking the doctor and retail functions together.

Main Responsibilities

Greet customers without delay and answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
Explain all required paperwork, tests, products, and services to customers.
Review prescriptions and patient information carefully and identify special needs, consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary.
Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
Identify situations involving unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution.
Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
Handle and file all patient records in an organized and efficient manner in accordance with HIPAA.
Place contact lens orders, process shipments, and properly submit invoices for payment.
Operate the POS system terminal, inputting customer/patient and prescription information with accuracy and attention to details.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent.
Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
Knowledge of current fashion trends.
Strong communicator and listener.
Problem-solving ability.
Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.
Organization skills.
Sales skills.
Strong basic math skills.
Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical.
Strong interpersonal skills.
