In this role, the successful candidate will offer technical proficiency in HVAC and Plumbing Engineering while collaborating with other departments to provide a superior level of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions of buildings and mechanical systems.
  • Execute load calculations for HVAC systems utilizing building modeling software.
  • Perform plumbing assessments based on expected occupancy and fixture counts, sizing water and sanitary services accordingly.
  • Conduct code evaluations and establish design criteria based on relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Select and specify mechanical systems in collaboration with our equipment vendors, fostering relationships to streamline the selection process.
  • Create engineering drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, with assistance from our CAD/BIM design team.
  • Develop equipment schedules and specifications for mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarize yourself with and adhere to our design standards, calculation tools, reporting protocols, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Address contractor inquiries and review submissions related to mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Perform site visits during construction to monitor progress and identify any necessary adjustments or deficiencies, compiling inspection reports and punch lists.
  • Assist Project Managers in drafting proposals and cost estimates for engineering services, as well as defining new project scopes.
  • Collaborate with your supervisor to outline a career development plan that aligns with your personal aspirations, gaining technical expertise and project management skills with guidance from industry professionals.
Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Eligibility to work in aerospace and defense sectors with export restrictions.
  • Engineer in Training licensure is advantageous.
  • Experience in industrial and manufacturing environments is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to engage in prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and standing.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Dexterity to operate tools and handle samples.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
