We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the Eureka Police Department. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and protecting the community. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public.
- Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support prosecutions.
- Provide information and assistance to the public, and to other law enforcement agencies.
- Participate in community policing initiatives to build relationships with the community and to prevent crime.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience working in law enforcement or a related field preferred.
- Valid California driver's license required.
- Basic certificate issued by the California State Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
