Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The role involves providing leadership and assistance to the educational personnel to meet the School Readiness Objectives for children from birth to five years. This position ensures the comprehensive application of all components of the Head Start Early Learning Framework, alongside maintaining systems for documentation, reporting, and continuous evaluation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver training and technical support to enhance the effectiveness of educational staff in their roles.
  • Conduct interviews for prospective educational personnel.
  • Monitor and assess child development outcomes and program quality metrics.
  • Oversee NAEYC accreditation processes, including renewal and submission of annual reports in collaboration with Center/Site Managers.
  • Engage with educational staff regularly to strategize, develop, and assess service effectiveness.
  • Execute related tasks as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related discipline is mandatory, with a master's degree being advantageous. Proven expertise in Early Childhood Education and Development is essential. A minimum of three years in a supervisory or management role within a program serving children from birth to five years and their families is required. Candidates must exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Head Start programs is preferred, along with a background in program planning, development, and evaluation. Familiarity with CLASS is desirable. Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds is necessary. A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
