About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team at Arka Service. As a technical lead, you will guide a team of researchers and developers to see cutting-edge algorithms from prototype to operations.

This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to new customers and new challenges. You will work on new opportunities to explore the application of LLMs to our customer's missions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team consisting of developers and researchers to implement AI/ML algorithms to solve complex challenges for our various customers
  • Analyze large multi-domain datasets such as images, text, and/or graph data to identify statistically relevant features to build models that provide actionable insights
  • Utilize cloud services to train and deploy machine learning models
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML by reviewing relevant publications and applying concepts to defense and commercial applications
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation supporting code, program capabilities, and user guides
Requirements
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to write and present technical reports
  • Experience leading an interdisciplinary team of researchers and software developers
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with popular data science / machine learning libraries: Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch
  • Experience with unsupervised and/or supervised machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and building models for inference
  • 5-9+ years of experience in software development or as a data scientist
  • Able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with SSBI to support government projects
Desirable Skills
  • Master's or Ph.D. in machine learning, computer science, mathematics, or relevant fields
  • Experience with AI/ML domains such as Large Language Models, Object Detection, Natural Language Processing, Generative Adversarial Networks, and Reinforcement Learning
  • Knowledge of machine learning libraries and frameworks like Hugging Face and LangChain
  • Familiarity with Linux, AWS cloud computing resources, and containerization
  • Experience implementing computer vision algorithms and tracking/fusion/pattern-of-life algorithms
