The Assembly Production Specialist is responsible for assembling component parts into a complete and operational product based upon customer requirements and production schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Perform small component assembly, general machine assembly, gasket making, and other miscellaneous assembly duties.
- Perform complete machine construction including final inspection and checkout.
- Read and understand work orders and stock production needs. Review and prioritize work orders and stock production needs to ensure that products are completed in a timely manner.
- Identify and obtain required component parts for each work order or stock production assembly.
- Inspect parts before and after assembly.
- Use various hand and power tools to efficiently assemble produced component parts into final product.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including special projects.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years comparable work experience or a combination of experience and continuing educational coursework.
- Trade School Graduate
- Lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 40 lbs.
- Pushing, pulling, and/or shuffling objects up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent standing up to 100%.
- Occasional squatting and sitting.
- Work in temperatures from 55 to 100 Fahrenheit.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for grasping, pinching, pulling, pushing with some force, rotating fingers and wrists, and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to see small/fine print and small holes.
- Ability to identify color.
