Position Overview: RN Telemetry Per Diem Tier II Nights

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care in alignment with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
- Observe, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
- Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
- Execute physician and nursing orders effectively.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Assessment: The RN employs a systematic approach to gather and analyze comprehensive data about patients, which is essential for delivering quality nursing care. This assessment encompasses physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.

- Initial assessment

- Focused assessment based on patient condition and context

Problem Identification: The nurse's clinical judgment regarding the patient's response to actual or potential health issues or needs.

Planning and Outcomes: Based on assessments and problem identification, the nurse collaborates with patients and families to establish measurable and achievable goals, both short- and long-term. These elements are documented in the patient's care plan for accessibility by all healthcare professionals involved.

- Develop a comprehensive plan of care
- Facilitate transition or discharge planning

Implementation: Nursing care is executed according to the care plan, ensuring continuity of care throughout hospitalization and preparation for discharge. All care activities are documented in the patient's medical record.

- Provide ordered treatments
- Educate patients and families
- Deliver nursing care
- Document in healthcare records

Evaluation: Continuous evaluation of both the patient's status and the effectiveness of nursing care is crucial, with adjustments made to the care plan as needed.

Care Coordination: Actions initiated by nurses to manage and enhance the sequence, timing, and effectiveness of patient care from admission through discharge.

Qualifications for the RN Telemetry Per Diem Tier II Nights Role:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
License Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license with the ability to obtain Arizona licensure within 30 days.
Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Certification Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or others as required by the department.

Education:
Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
