Job Summary:

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Printer Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our printing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify the proper setup of printer equipment and ensure all safety equipment, guards, and devices are in place at all times.
• Operate the printer while checking for quality defects in the manufacturing process.
• Perform label design changeover setups and timely quality control checks to ensure printer and related equipment is within specifications.
• Audit printer applications to ensure SOP specifications are met.
• Work effectively in a team environment and be self-driven working independently.
• Analyze spoilage, record causes, and take corrective actions where applicable.
• Perform preventative maintenance assignments and monitor equipment or processes, reporting all problems to supervision.
• Follow all SOP operating procedures and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of manufacturing/production experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good record-keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Basic mechanical ability necessary to determine registration of can and troubleshoot lithography defects.

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
• Noise level is usually loud.
