Automotive Alignment Technician

About the Position

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a skilled Automotive Alignment Technician to join our team at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Coram, NY area.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for using the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and adjust caster, camber, toe, and thrust angles to ensure proper tire alignment.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, and flat repairs.
• Perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, you must be at least 18 years of age, legally authorized to work in the United States, and possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

It is preferred that you possess a state inspection license.

Physical Demands:

This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and performing repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. You must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
