Job Title: Substance Use Disorder Program Coordinator

Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Program Coordinator to oversee the daily management and performance of the medication-assisted treatment and substance use disorder initiatives of the behavioral health department.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in direct patient care and mental health/substance use disorder administration, with a proven ability to shift gears at a moment's notice and restructure staffing, scheduling, and billing needs to balance volume.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program oversight and administration
  • Communication, coordination, and planning within the Substance Use Disorder Program and between all other departments relating to substance use disorder services
  • Responsible for reviewing referrals to the Substance Use Disorder program (screening for acuity, coordinating with staff to ensure insurance authorization and scheduling in a timely fashion)

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • LICSW
  • 5-7 years experience in direct patient care and mental health/substance use disorder administration
  • Prior department of mental health experience is required
  • Proven ability to shift gears at the moment, restructure staffing, scheduling, and billing needs to balance volume
  • Athena and Google Apps experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are required
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with clinicians and staff at all levels
