Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for conducting nuclear medicine procedures using imaging equipment and radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nuclear medicine procedures using imaging equipment and radioactive materials
  • Assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries
  • Responsible for radiation safety and quality control procedures
  • Deliver patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations and dynamic tests
  • Prepare and administer radioactive agents
  • Maintain daily log of radionuclide doses administered to patients
  • Calibrate and check all applicable equipment
  • Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection during the imaging process
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Program
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine department preferred
