We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at AdventHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and make appropriate decisions regarding patient care, including developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide respiratory care to patients on invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilators, including initiating, operating, transporting, and liberating conventional and advanced modes of ventilation.
- Deliver inhaled medications, including inhaled medications specific to the facility, bronchial hygiene therapy, lung expansion therapy, and manage patients receiving inhaled gases.
- Properly perform hemodynamic procedures, including initiating, managing, transporting Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps if applicable to the facility.
- Obtain, perform, and report findings of blood gas and co-oximetry analysis, and perform quality control as needed.
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
- Active and Current State License as required by state licensing board.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if applicable to the facility.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable to the facility.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) if applicable to the facility.
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
- Active RRT-ACCS credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist – Adult Critical Care Specialist) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Active Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) credential.
