Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Spokane, Washington. As a Respiratory Therapist with Magnet Medical, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams.
- Analyze test results, including pulmonary function tests (PFTs), arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, chest X-rays, and sleep studies.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with respiratory issues, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, pulmonary rehabilitation, and airway clearance techniques.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on proper use of respiratory equipment, medications, and techniques for managing respiratory conditions at home.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop a holistic care plan for respiratory patients, attending multidisciplinary care meetings as necessary.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
- Current certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably with patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
