Taxation Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Specialist to support property tax functions, including tax calculation, tax revenue settlement, and land taxation records maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with annual computation of local tax rates, including compilation of levy and valuation data.
• Audit and verify the accuracy of tax calculations prior to final calculation for tax statements.
• Update special assessment records, processing changes, cancellations, and new assessments.
• Compute current, delinquent, state general tax, forfeited tax settlements, and tax abatements.
• Maintain the tax parcel database, ensuring accurate parcel taxation.

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of property taxation statutes, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to perform moderately complex mathematical calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to multitask and work independently.
• Competency in basic computer operation skills and ability to learn specialized application software.
