Job Summary:

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to maximize its lifespan and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Document maintenance activities and record-keeping in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform general housekeeping and cleaning of work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; mechanical maintenance certificate preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in an industrial environment with a dependable work record; experience with electrical, fabrication, welding, cutting, and blueprint reading a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of understanding of mechanical maintenance, knowledge of machines and tools, and ability to apply common sense and logical thought process to interpret oral and written communications.
  • Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, and dry conditions.
  • Ability to climb, bend, and twist occasionally; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and meet requirements of PFT and fit testing, when applicable.
