Regional Reporting, Inc. (RRI) stands as a leading independent provider of loss control services within the property and casualty insurance sector. Our expertise encompasses a wide range of areas including Property, General Liability, Products Liability, Fleet, Inland Marine, and Workers' Compensation.

RRI is currently in search of a knowledgeable Loss Control Consultant to operate within our designated coverage area, focusing on the execution of commercial insurance loss control evaluations.

Field Consultant - Loss Control

The primary role of the Loss Control Field Consultant involves conducting thorough inspections and compiling underwriting reports for insurance purposes. These reports are essential for insurance companies to accurately assess new or renewing policies.

Field Consultants travel to various locations to capture photographs and conduct visual assessments of both the interior and exterior of facilities. They analyze business operations to identify insurance risks and suggest potential enhancements. Assignments are distributed on a daily or weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Documenting onsite findings, taking measurements, and capturing images in line with specific carrier requirements.
  • Assessing building structures and identifying potential risks.
  • Ensuring timely completion of assignments and reports as per deadlines.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Field Manager to optimize inspection processes.
  • Coordinating inspection schedules with the insured representative on-site.
  • Preparing and submitting inspection findings, including uploading photographs and creating diagrams as needed.
  • Traveling to insured locations, with occasional overnight stays required.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with Loss Control Service Providers or major insurance firms.
  • A comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines.
  • A broad knowledge of building construction and ISO classifications.
  • Strong communication and time management skills, including excellent writing, organizational, and computer skills.
  • The ability to work remotely with a personal computer and high-speed internet access.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • A digital camera or smartphone capable of taking pictures.
Preferred qualifications include designations such as CSP, ARM, or related certifications.

Work Environment:

In this role, the consultant will operate on insured property sites as well as from a home office. On-site work will involve physical activities such as standing, walking an average of one mile daily, bending for measurements, and climbing ladders or stairs. Travel to various locations will occur in diverse weather conditions. Office work will involve utilizing a home computer for report completion.
