  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and logs, using proper grammar and formatting.
  • Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of medical records, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Audit medical files for documentation of provided services, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare and disseminate safety and accident reports, taking appropriate action in cases of serious and unusual incidents.
  • Assist with investigations and inquiries, exercising independent judgment to determine probable cause and recommend disciplinary action.
  • Observe and record inmate behavior, ensuring accurate documentation and effective intervention.
  • Inspect the medical unit for contraband, securely storing supplies and equipment or providing for safe disposal.
  • Reliably identify inmates by visual means, performing searches of people and objects capable of concealing contraband.
  • Engage in functions in confined areas, verifying security and ensuring the safety of inmates and staff.
  • Endure verbal and mental abuse from inmates and others, taking appropriate action to prevent or diffuse potentially disruptive situations.
  • Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies, and disasters, administering basic emergency medical aid and securing and evacuating people from confined areas.
  • Interpret, enforce, and comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies, procedures, standards, and contract requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relations with others, handling difficult interpersonal contacts.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, staff members, contractors, business contacts, and the general public.
