About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. As a key member of our Event Support Team, you will be responsible for ensuring set-up and tear-downs for events are completed according to specifications in a safe and timely manner. You will also perform basic maintenance and upkeep of both the building and property.

Responsibilities
  • Arrive for work on time for each scheduled shift, in uniform and ready to work.
  • Work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Take verbal and written direction from supervisors.
  • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and reach/lift above head in conjunction with conversion tasks.
  • Safely and efficiently operate hand tools.
  • Perform set-up and tear-down duties.
  • Perform daily operations and general building maintenance during non-event days.
  • Perform general landscaping of the property.
  • Work safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
