Key Responsibilities
- Transportation and Community Engagement: Safely transport individuals to our centers and community outings, promoting socialization and engagement.
- Activity Coordination: Lead small group and skill-building activities, fostering creativity and personal growth.
- Documentation and Progress Tracking: Accurately document goals and individual progress, ensuring effective support and care.
- Companionship and Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being.
- Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist with mobility, hygiene, and meal preparation, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of individuals are met.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medication as needed, following established protocols.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning activities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
- Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred.
- Certifications: First aid and CPR-certified, with knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and colleagues.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to fifty pounds, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Personal Qualities: Compassionate, respectful, and ethical, with a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
