Responsibilities

  • Ensure a clean and safe food preparation environment by inspecting and cleaning equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas.
  • Verify the freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality, tracking inventory, and rotating stock to maintain optimal levels.
  • Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures to ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature.
  • Prepare and cook food according to established recipes or personal expertise, taking into account flavor profiles and presentation.
  • Monitor and adjust cooking techniques to ensure even cooking and optimal results.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a restaurant cook is preferred, but not required.
  • ServeSafe or Food Handler's certification is highly recommended, and willingness to attain certification is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to lift 30+ pounds and work for extended periods while standing is necessary.
