About the Role

As a Senior Assembly Technician at Johnson Controls International plc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Pressure Testing Specialist, responsible for assembling and fabricating various components and units. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading global provider of building efficiency solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, adjusting, installing, or fastening unit or component parts to a unit. You will also be required to solder (brazes) on the unit or its component parts, shotblast units, move material, and drive a forklift. Additionally, you will wrap units using a heat gun, prepare units for shipping, clean equipment, and perform housekeeping duties as required.

Physical and Mental Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally, stand constantly, walk frequently, bend frequently, climb occasionally, crawl occasionally, reach frequently, grasp frequently, and sit occasionally. You must also have corrected vision to 20/20 and be able to handle equipment frequently.

Environmental Factors

You will be working in a manufacturing environment, exposed to noise, dirt, dust, cold/heat indoors, and cold/heat outdoors. Job hazards include working around heavy equipment and machinery.

Tools and Equipment Used

You will be utilizing tape measures, small hand tools, power tools, cranes, and brazing torches.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need knowledge of hand tools, the ability to read measuring tapes, and good hand dexterity to fit and assemble products. Some judgment is required, and you must be able to perform math at a level normally acquired through completion of high school. You must also be able to maintain a clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.

Depending on the type of Assembler, you must be able to qualify in one of the following processes: Insulation PSI Testing Tube Rolling Hydro Testing Cable Assembly Panel Assembly Water Box Installation Brazing Test Covers Shotblast Forklift Heat Gun.
