Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NM Tech) plays a critical role in the diagnostic imaging process, working under the general supervision of a Radiologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures, PET, and theranostic procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Perform high-quality nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures according to established protocols, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Caring Practices: Communicate effectively with patients to identify their needs, ensure correct exams are performed, and establish rapport with patients and their families.
  • Patient Safety: Safeguard patients and team members by adhering to radiation safety requirements, infection-control protocols, and techniques.
  • Radiation Safety: Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications per protocol, ensuring accurate and safe handling of radioactive materials.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, nursing partners, medical staff, and Radiologists to ensure accurate transfer of patient images and seamless communication.
Requirements
  • ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification
  • Strong technical expertise in nuclear medicine procedures and equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
