We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a Nursing Station Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support to our pediatric patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, vital signs, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding.
- Maintain unit desk area functions, including answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts, and ordering tests.
- Set up and maintain patient rooms, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
- Order and stock supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Perform EKGs and holter monitor placements, as well as respond to the needs of individual units.
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification is required.
- One or more of the following qualifications are required:
- Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview-sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
- Six months of recent direct care experience in a long-term, home care, or acute care setting.
- Current enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program, with completion of one semester of clinical rotation within the program.
- Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire.
