Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory testing. This is a PRN position, requiring flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other specimens from patients via venipuncture or capillary collection
- Perform other special laboratory collection procedures, such as throat and nasal cultures
- Greets patients, orders laboratory testing, and issues faxes and/or calls results
- Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives
- Complies with governmental and accreditation standards
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required
- 1-2 years previous phlebotomy experience required or National Healthcare Association Phlebotomy certified required
- ASCP - American Society of Clinical Pathologist preferred or ASPT certification preferred
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
