Senior Actuarial Strategist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Strategist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our actuarial department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced actuarial models to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

About the Role

• You will work closely with senior leadership to identify business opportunities and develop strategic plans to capitalize on them.
  
• Utilize your expertise in actuarial science to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes and procedures that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform business strategy and drive innovation.
  
• Mentor and train junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge in actuarial science.
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field required; FSA certification preferred.
  
• At least 5 years of experience in actuarial science, preferably in a business development or consulting role.
  
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and driving business growth through innovative thinking and analysis.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and shared goals.
