About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Service Corporation International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of our cemetery, mausoleum, and funeral home locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Grounds Keeping: Ensure the cemetery, mausoleum, and funeral home grounds are well-manicured and maintained, including cutting grass, trimming trees, and removing debris.
  • Grave Site Management: Locate and mark grave sites, dig graves, and install crypt faces.
  • Event Support: Assist with setup and teardown for graveside ceremonies, interments, entombments, and inurnments.
  • Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain facilities, including performing minor repairs and painting.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, service, and clean equipment, including lawn mowers, weed trimmers, and leaf blowers.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA regulations and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment, communicate effectively, and work in extreme weather conditions.
