Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher with The Stepping Stones Group, you will:

  • Utilize specialized teaching strategies and tools to enhance learning and engagement for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, families, and other professionals to promote student success and integration into broader educational settings.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
  • Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, empathy, and self-confidence among students.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from a Teaching program.
  • A valid state license or certification for Mod/Severe Special Education Teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs.
