Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing and packaging operations. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical controls, electronics, and fabrication skills to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain manufacturing and packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automated machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks using mechanical and applied knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and safety standards
  • Program and configure electronic devices, including VFDs, PLCs, and other controllers
  • Design and fabricate complex machinery and equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with the engineering department on various projects and initiatives
Requirements:
  • Vocational degree in automated machinery systems or equivalent, or high school diploma with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of electrical controls, electronics, and fabrication skills
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, electrical controls, pneumatics, and fluid power
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Technician will work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to electrical hazards, loud noises, and automated machinery. The position requires the ability to wear safety glasses and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
