About the Role:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity in utilizing radionuclides for diagnosis. You will work under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor (Radiology) or Cardiologist and Lead Tech (Cardiology) to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate all radiographic equipment according to equipment specifications, adhering to infection control and safety practices.
  • Perform quality Nuclear Medicine procedures, including scintigraphy and other diagnostic imaging techniques.
  • Assume responsibility for designated areas of procedures, including patient preparation, imaging, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Imaging or Cardiology nurses as appropriate to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide patient education pertinent to the exam being performed and document in patient records.
  • Meet productivity standards, including 30 minutes or less waiting time for outpatients and 45-minute turnaround time for ER patients.
Requirements:
  • Current ARRT or NMTCB licensure or certification.
  • High school diploma or GED and graduate of an accredited ARRT or NMTCB program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Nuclear Medicine or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred licensure or certification: BCLS certification for Cardiology.
  • Preferred experience: Minimum of two (2) years in Nuclear Medicine or a related field.
Physical Demands:
  • Weight lifted: Up to 50 lbs, frequently 31-65% of time.
  • Weight carried: Up to 50 lbs, frequently 31-65% of time.
  • Vision: Heavy, constantly 66-100% of time.
  • Kneeling/Stooping/Bending: Frequently 31-65%.
  • Standing/Walking: Constantly 66-100%.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Frequently 31-65%.
  • Intensity of Work: Frequently 31-65%.
