Position Summary: The Night Shift Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the plant's operations during the night shift, ensuring seamless production and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume leadership for the plant's effective functioning in the absence of senior management.
  • Provide guidance and support to all night-shift personnel, including various operational teams.
  • Direct all activities conducted during the night shift, maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Foster a strong safety culture, preparing for incident responses and leading investigations when necessary.
  • Champion site initiatives to align night shift operations with day shift standards.
  • Monitor plant operational metrics, ensuring night shift activities support overall production goals.
  • Act as a liaison for technical support to maintain production flow.
  • Facilitate communication between night and day shifts, ensuring effective turnover of information.
  • Handle vendor certification requirements for shipments received during the night shift.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of five years of experience in plant operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility to work a second shift schedule, including potential early starts or weekend shifts.
  • Experience in continuous improvement practices is advantageous.
