Job Summary:

As a skilled Machinist at Tradesmen International, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, or replacing defective parts, and reassembling machinery using machinist's tools, chain hoists, and steel rollers. Your expertise will also be utilized to install ship machinery, such as propelling machinery and steering gear, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
  • Install and test new machinery and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other tradesmen to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Document and report all work completed, including any issues or concerns.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in machinist or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of machinist's tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
