Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist III to join our team at AdventHealth Sebring Wauchula Lake Placid. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing technical support in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing the operating room suite for surgery, including instrument and equipment preparation.
  • Ensure case carts are accurately pulled with supplies and instrumentation, and edit procedures cards as needed.
  • Scrubs in the OR as needed, setting up sterile instruments and supplies, and assisting the surgeon with instruments, sutures, and supplies during surgery.
  • Provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Troubleshoot equipment in the OR as requested by the OR charge.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • At least three years of scrub experience in a multi-specialty setting.
  • First Assistant skill a plus.
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified First Assistant (CFA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
