Savantage Solutions is seeking a seasoned Java software engineer to support our professional services team in a wide range of Java-based applications and software support activities, including design and development.


Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, and maintenance of Java-based applications.
Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Analyze user requirements to define business objectives and envision system features and functionality.
Develop and test software, identifying and resolving technical issues that arise.
Create detailed design documentation and develop technical designs for application development.
Write well-designed, testable code and conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging of Java code.
Develop documentation to support test scripts and user testing, and prepare and produce release delivery and documentation for software components.

Requirements:
Experience and proficiency in maintaining and developing complex programs using Java programming language, including new modules, reconstructing existing programs, and troubleshooting problems within a production environment.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of systems analysis, design, testing, and program documentation.
Experience in full software development lifecycle (SDLC), support, and maintenance, with a focus on Java-based applications.
Ability to write clean, readable Java code and skills for writing reusable Java Libraries.
Experience with Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), SOAP, and RESTful web services, as well as Web Technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Markup Languages such as JSON, XML, XSL.
Experience working with SFTP file transfer and understanding of class loading mechanisms in Java.
Experience using Oracle databases and understanding of design principles behind scalable applications.
Knowledge of code version tools like Version Manager or Git.

Compensation:
$115k - $140k (based on the National Capital Region)

The pay range for this job level at Savantage Solutions serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Factors considered when extending an offer include, but are not limited to, job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, seniority, performance, and alignment with market data.

This salary range is based on the National Capital Region and reflects our good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting.

Actual compensation may vary based on geographic region or market conditions, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the stated range.
