Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Bass Pro Shops. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and grounds, facilities, equipment, and fire suppression systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee maintenance and housekeeping staff in the performance of site duties, including supervising daily activities, scheduling and assigning work, and checking for completion and quality of work.
  • Ensure all warehouse equipment is properly serviced and maintained, performing preventative maintenance to include electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assessment/repair, and providing direction to the Automated Systems Technician.
  • Manage the completion of projects with minimal business interruption, supervising internal staff and/or outside vendors in the completion of projects involving buildings, facilities, grounds, equipment, and fire suppression systems.
  • Coordinate the work of outside vendors/contractors on capital projects or repairs, obtaining bids on labor, materials, and schedules, and communicating with Sr. Operations management for project scheduling and progress.
  • Administer the ordering of janitorial and maintenance supplies and contracts for waste disposal services, identifying parts and supplies needed to maintain an appropriate level of inventory and spare parts to minimize downtime and limit expenses.
  • Keep site management apprised of projects and status of day-to-day operations, attending operations meetings, preparing reports on project status, budget, inventory, scheduling of work, and outstanding issues.
  • Maintain a safe workplace, assisting in the facility's team effort to maintain a safe workplace by maintaining compliance and correcting routine issues.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Apprenticeship
  • 4 to 6+ Years' Experience
  • Licensed Electrician (preferred)
  • Maintenance supervisory or management position in a large facility with mechanical, electrical, or construction skills (preferred)
  • Maintenance Tech with increasing responsibility for supervising people and projects (required)
