Maintenance Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance professional to join our team at Wayne County Schools Employment Network. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of general maintenance tasks, including repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of school buildings and grounds.
  • Service, repair, and provide preventive maintenance for various equipment and infrastructure.
  • Assist with custodial and cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Provide timely response to work orders and maintain accurate records of status and completion.
  • Collaborate with contracted service providers and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Boiler license preferred.
  • Journeyman certification preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with a variety of maintenance equipment and tools.
  • Ability to effectively access and utilize technology systems that support Operations.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend manuals, instructions, drawings, and written instructions.
  • Maintain a valid Michigan Chauffeur driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrating initiative, efficiency, and timely follow-through on responsibilities.
  • Work independently, achieve, and maintain job productivity.
