Civil Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Staff Engineers to create CAD documents and provide production and detail part drawings.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to create civil plans, including contours, utilities, paving layouts, and other essential elements.
  • Develop proficiency in creating alignments, profiles, corridors, pipe networks, surfaces, and other complex designs.
  • Work with AutoCAD Civil 3D (Hydraflow, Storm and Sanitary Analysis) to create high-quality drawings.
  • Develop and maintain styles, settings, dynamic blocks, drawing detail, and template files to facilitate the creation of drawing standards.
  • Work with the AutoCAD Suite to ensure seamless integration and efficient workflow.
  • Understand and apply CAD standards, including the application of CAD layers, title block templates, and rigorous CAD standard requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) to effectively communicate and manage tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand job specifications and drawings.
  • Knowledge of general construction techniques and mathematical concepts, including plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 or 4-year Technical degree in Drafting or similar with 2 years demonstrated experience preferred.
  • At least 6 months of CAD technician experience required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with Engineering terminology.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
