MEP Superintendent II

Austin Commercial is seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to lead our team on a $1.3 billion semiconductor project in Sherman, TX. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, sheet metal, insulation, sprinkler systems, and life safety systems.

• Provide overall direction and control of MEP installation on our projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, and subcontractors to discuss mechanical and electrical systems, resolving any technical issues that may arise.
• Attend weekly meetings with project stakeholders to outline work to be performed by MEP subcontractors, phasing of work, and quality control measures.
• Ensure that all MEP shop drawings are submitted in a timely manner, examining them for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with city electrical inspectors to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Plan and execute daily and weekly activities for each craft, providing technical guidance and assistance as needed.
• Assist the Project Manager in estimating change orders and ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Laws, ordinances, and codes.
• Maintain detailed and accurate daily job diaries of all activity associated with field construction activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• 8+ years of commercial construction field experience, including direct supervisory and MEP experience.
• Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training.
• Proficient with reading plans and specs.
• Ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
