Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team at our Canton community. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical, personal, and emotional well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities- Provide direct resident care services, including medication distribution and administration.
- Follow individualized care plans for all residents, ensuring their unique needs are met.
- Perform resident evaluations as required by state standards and facility policy, under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
- Observe residents for changes in condition and report any concerns to the supervisor and/or Executive Director.
- Provide timely interventions to address changes in condition and share information with care staff and family as instructed.
- Assist with completing and maintaining current individualized care plans for each resident.
- Provide documentation as required to resident files.
- Attend scheduled interdisciplinary resident care meetings.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, toileting, dressing, and transfers.
- Participate in the oversight and management of medication delivery systems, including timely order entry, receipt, and tracking, as well as daily MAR documentation and narcotic counts.
- At least one year of related work experience, preferably in senior care.
- General knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living care.
- Solid understanding of opportunities and limits of other levels of care within senior living.
- Ability to work well with others and take direction from management.
- Flexibility to work weekends as necessary.
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the job, including lifting/moving up to 50lbs independently and up to 200lbs with assistance.
