Job Summary

The Dental Hygiene Specialist works in conjunction with a dentist to meet the oral health needs of patients, prioritizing their care, comfort, and safety. The Specialist assesses patients' oral health, educates them on proper oral hygiene strategies, removes deposits from teeth, and applies preventive materials while adhering to Family Health Center of Marshfield, Inc.'s policies and procedures.

This role can be full-time or part-time, with varying schedules.

Qualifications

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene.

Preferred/Optional: Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene.

Experience

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Two years' experience as a Dental Hygienist.

Certifications/Licenses

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: An unrestricted Wisconsin Registered Dental Hygiene License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association is required within 3 months of hire.) Local anesthetic State of Wisconsin Certification.

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association at time of hire.


Part-time hours available between Monday and Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 28 to 36 hours per week.
