Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at MedWise Urgent Care. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide healthcare services in collaboration with the medical care team.
- Interview patients to obtain history, perform examinations, order labs and other tests/diagnostic procedures, prescribe medications and treatments.
- Manage cases according to established protocols.
- Maintain case histories, medical reports, and other records.
- Prepare treatment plans and patient education counseling.
- Follow prescriptive protocols and state guidelines for Prescriptive and Distributing Authority as outlined by the local State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Provide consistent and efficient customer service using empathy, compassion, and good judgement.
- Comply with all HIPAA regulations to maintain patient's rights to privacy.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Licensed and meet the requirements of the State Boards of Examiners in which MedWise employs them.
- Current DEA license or certification.
- Valid state/government issued identification.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical setting in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or an ambulatory care setting.
- DOT Certification or ability to obtain certification.
This job requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The worker must be able to hear, see and speak to supervisors, co-workers, internal customers and vendors, and to identify and deal with such via the telephone or in person in order to accomplish job responsibilities.
