Travel Nurse Opportunity in Albuquerque, NM with Competitive Pay

About the RoleAs a skilled Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide specialized care for patients with a range of medical and neurological conditions in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. This role involves working in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) at a hospital in Albuquerque, NM.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care to patients in the IMC unit, including those with gastrointestinal bleeds, pneumonia, sepsis, respiratory diseases, and stroke/neuro-related diagnoses.
- Collaborate with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
- Perform routine nursing duties, including patient monitoring, medication administration, and interventions, while maintaining accurate records in Epic.
- Float to other units, such as PCU, Med-Surg, and ICU, as needed, to ensure efficient staffing and quality patient care.
- Document patient care accurately, adhering to hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide emotional support and patient education, empowering patients and their families to make informed decisions about their care.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in Intermediate Care or a related unit, with a strong background in critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH (Neonatal Intensive Care)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- Epic Experience: Required, with proficiency in documentation and charting.
- Scrub Color: Any color without logos, promoting a professional and comfortable work environment.
- Night Shift: 3x12 hours, working from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with opportunities for 36-hour weekly options.
- Weekends: A minimum of six weekends are required per contract, with schedules TBD to accommodate varying needs.
- Floating: Flexibility is essential, with floating to all PCU units, Med-Surg, and ICU for PCU-level assignments.
- Orientation: Comprehensive orientation includes two bedside shifts and hospital orientation, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
