Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for our proprietary industrial automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in analog and digital circuit design, high-speed design, and board-level component selection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for industrial automation equipment, including PCBAs, motor control, and PLCs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design robust electrical systems and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Test and validate new designs to ensure function and performance.
  • Lead teams in safe and standard-compliant work with electronics and train others to work using safe practices and procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive work culture and encourage good engineering practices.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in electrical engineering.
  • Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, high-speed design, and board-level component selection.
  • Experience with industrial communications protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS485, SPI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with automation and control equipment (motor control, PLCs, sensors, etc.).
  • Expertise in schematic capture and layout for PCBs.
  • Proficient in PCBA design validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of professional work experience.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Familiarity with IEC 61508 and ISO 13849, designing for functional safety.
  • Experience with robotics, motors, and other electromechanical components.
  • Experience with high-volume PCBA design and manufacturing, board-level component selection, bring-up, and test.
